HAVBIOMAP Fall Meeting
Last month colleagues gathered in Aarhus for the Fall Meeting of our AAGE V. JENSEN NATURFOND funded project HAVBIOMAP.
The project brings together researchers in marine ecology, genomics, oceanography, and planning policy to study biodiversity and connectivity for coastal marine ecosystems in Denmark.
The group’s members from Havsamarbejdet i Østjylland, Aalborg University, DTU Aqua and Aarhus University discussed ongoing genetic biodiversity research and vulnerability mapping tools. The meeting included brainstorming suggestions for strictly protected areas in Havsamarbejdet’s working area, as well as ways of integrating HAVBIOMAP results in impact assessment tools.
